This festival transcends being merely an event; it represents a vision where Lucknow transforms into more than just a venue, a sentiment, a journey. We aim for every heart in Lucknow to synchronise with the festival's essence, elevating this city beyond a mere location on the map to a must-visit destination in every cinematic exploration. Beyond presenting cinematic treasures, we are establishing a cooperative environment, connecting with top-tier talent, and fostering a community of knowledgeable and compassionate individuals.
1- Entries for the Lucknow Short Film Festival are open for everyone.
2- Entries can be based on any subject or concept. We are currently not accepting Animated Films.
3-The entries can be in any language. However, all films must include sub-titles in English.
4- The total runtime of the entries, including opening & closing credits, should strictly be a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 40 minutes.
5- All content used in the entries must be either owned or licensed. If any copyrighted material is used in the film, the participant must have the permission and submit a copy to the Festival Organizers.
6- Entries must be uploaded by participant through Google Drive or Dropbox and must be made available for download to the festival organizers. YouTube & Vimeo links are not accepted.
7-Only entry films produced & completed after 1st January 2020 are eligible for the festival.
8- The Entry Fee is INR 1,500/= per film (The film will be accepted only after receiving the entry fee).
9- Multiple entries from the same participant are accepted, but each film must be accompanied by a separate form and entry fee.
10- The screening of all officially selected entries will be done offline on a decided venue.
11- The entries that are selected for final screening will not be allowed to withdraw under any circumstances until the festival is over.
12-Judges’ decision will be final and binding.
13- There should be no racist content, no religion based content and any content that hurts the sentiments of any particular community.
14- Movies with adult content or suggestive content will not be accepted.
15- Festival Organizers reserve the right to change / modify / alter any rule or its part or event of this competition anytime.
16- The best entry film will get a chance to get LFF official entry in various international film festivals across the world.
17- The best movies will also be showcased in the upcoming Lucknow Film Festival held at the end of the year.
18- In case of failure to perform this festival due to any force majeure, neither party shall be liable for such failure and the hosts reserve the right to terminate the event automatically.
